Facebook loses comment button, just hit enter

A small change on Facebook may trip you up today. Facebook has changed the way users comment on each others’ posts. Instead of hitting the now-absent submit button, commenters just have to hit the enter key to put up a post. Hit enter by accident, and you can delete your comment by clicking and “x” in the corner. If you’d like to write something on a different line, you have to hit shift and enter — something Facebook doesn’t tell you until you’ve typed and deleted a comment.
Unsurprisingly, the reaction on Twitter has not been favorable, with a lot of people panning the change. (Let’s put it this way: it was hard to find tweets appropriate to post in the blog.)
